Golf ⛳ ⛳ ⛳
The world’s best golfers will compete at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris (July 26 – August 11, 2024). Here you can find the latest news…
The format used for golf tournaments at the Olympic Games is “stroke play”, which sees players complete an 18-hole course, four times in four days.
Stroke play is the game mode that is also predominantly played on the professional tours. The number of strokes a golfer needs to complete an 18-hole course is counted. The tournament takes place over four consecutive days and therefore comprises four rounds of 18 holes, i.e. 72 holes in total. The player who has needed the fewest strokes after four rounds wins the tournament. The ladies play one week after the men with the same rules. Only the par requirement may differ for individual holes.
For Paris 2024, fans of golf can attend the events at one of the most beautiful golf courses in Europe, the Golf National, a few kilometres away from Paris.
