Marie Schreiber, a rising star in Luxembourg cycling, will be riding alongside Christine Majerus (Luxembourg) for SD Worx from this spring. The Dutch team announced on Thursday March 12, 2023 the signing of the 19 year old rider, until now a member of the Belgian team Tormans Cyclo Cross Team, for three years. The Bettborn, Luxeembourg, native won two cyclo-cross races this winter in Germany, scored her first top 5 in the World Cup in Dublin and finished at the foot of the podium at the European U23 Championship in Namur in November 2022.
“It was really a surprise for me that SD Worx was interested,” Marie Schreiber said in a statement. “It is a big plus for my confidence that they also see the opportunities on the road”. Until now Schreiber has mostly performed in national and international cyclo-cross events.
