Cyclocross once again experienced absolute heydays last winter. During the Christmas and end-of-year period, more than ten thousand spectators found their way to the various courses and hundreds of thousands to more than a million TV viewers in Belgium and the Netherlands watched every race as Wout van Aert, Mathieu van der Poel and Thomas Pidcock fought (mud) duels at the cutting edge every time.

The next edition of the Vestingcross will take place on an absolute top date: Saturday, December 30, 2023. On that day, the fortifications of Hulster will once again be the battleground for the top of international cyclocross.The Vestingcross/UCI World Cup Hulst will undoubtedly be a sporting event not to be missed. Since the winter of 2021, our race is part of the World Cup cyclo-cross, a selection of the best and most beautiful courses from the international circuit. This, the presence of the top cyclists in women’s and men’s elite and the race date: all elements are present to make it another top day for and in Hulst.Such a top event of course requires a top framework.
