The 54. edition of the Engadin Skimarathon is the largest cross-country skiing event in Switzerland and second largest worldwide.
Since 1969, thousands of participants have run the marathon course from Maloja to S-chanf on the second Sunday in March. The programme of the marathon week also includes the Engadin Half Marathon, the Engadin Women’s Run and the Engadin Night Run.

The Engadin Skimarathon starts in Sils instead of Maloja

For the first time in its history, the Engadin Skimarathon will not start in Maloja but instead in Sils. The heavy snowfall in the last week has made it impossible to prepare the cross-country skiing tracks across Lake Sils in the expected quality. As more snow is expected before 10 March, the organisers have decided to move the start to Sils.
